How this paper pays for itself

The Drifter Times is free to every reader, always. It costs money anyway — hosting, research time, the hours it takes to check a shelter’s hours before we print them. Sponsors cover those costs so readers never have to.

What a sponsor gets

• Your name in the sponsor strip at the foot of every page of this site — the back page, everywhere.
• A listing on this page, with a line about what you do.
• Thanks in the Drifter Dispatch, the weekly issue our subscribers read.
• The knowledge that the thing you funded told somebody where lunch was today.

What a sponsor never gets

• No say over listings. Accuracy is the whole product. Sponsors cannot add, remove, or soften a listing — their own included.
• No reader data. There is none to sell; we do not collect it.
• No company they would not want. This paper runs no advertising for payday lenders, bail bonds, or anyone who profits from our readers’ emergencies.
